Inaugural bushwalking trip

As unofficial supporter of Parks Victoria's "Healthy Parks, Healthy People", we have our inaugural bushwalking trip to Shelly Beach, (just past Apollo Bay) on 11th March 2007. I think we all agreed that it was a success. Now that we have passed this training session, we all look forward to our next 'real' bushwalking session at 'beginners' level.

Here are some pictures from the trip. The fresh air was really good for us 'city slicker'. Wish you could smell the air from the pictures!

The walk from the picnic area to the beach took about 20 minutes. At the beach, the kids have a great time exploring.

View from the car along Great Ocean Road.

You can see the walking trail from this picture. It really was an easy walk.

An icecream treat at Apollo Bay after the bushwalk.

Now that we have our energy back, lets do more climbing...
